Many people in the developing world are illiterate, live in shanty towns and have access to poor sanitary facilities if any at all. The adults rarely have the opportunity to pursue regular employment, and the children do not go to school as they have to beg or help out in the fields. We combat the privation suffered by these people at both individual and communal level. Our community aid includes projects for the benefit of all.
DBSSS projects are categorized as below:
Education and training programmes for most deserved children.
Support for women’s groups
Health education (clean environment, varied diet, personal hygiene, disease prevention, and so on)
Mother and child care (advice and care)
Vaccination and nutrition programmes
Medical check-ups and emergency care
Construction of wells, sewers, school buildings and homes
Building of roads
Funding of small workshops and industries (production of clothing, soap, cleaning materials, candles, jams, juices, and so on)
Creation of community centres
Installation of public toilets
